Mummy needs a break!





So I have been meaning to write this post for almost a week but just never got around to it till now.

You know those "you know your a mum when..." post on facebook and your supposed to fill in the blank. Well I had a mum moment. It actually came about when I realized I needed a break.

I was so tired and Kallen had been sick for a few days already. As we are EBF, with the occasional pumped bottle, I'm his only path to sustenance and boy does he make sure I know it. Anyways it had been a rough few days and nights to say the least. I just wanted to curl up and sleeeeep but a bath would do to. So I pumped and place Kallen on Peter and said "be back in a bit". When I walked into the bathroom I realize not only had I forgotten to empty the tub from kallens bath that morning but he had pooped in it....sigh...more work. I stood there watching the water drain thinking " should I full on scrub it or just give it a quick rinse". Once the water was gone bits of EBF poop were stuck on the tub. In that moment of sheer exhaustion I swished some water around and started filling up the tub. Pssht the baby poo and the stupid ring around the tub.

Mummy needs a break! I hopped and let me tell you! That bath was heaven!
